Gratis is the “nicest POS system you’ll ever use” — clean lined, with kind to the eyes visual contrast, clarity and sensible typography as main design pillars.
Colour scheme moodboards drew from Canada’s 1976 Olympic imagery, early Braun product colour ways; an intentional pull to visually warmer times. Inputting into systems outside of this direction feels colder, lifeless perhaps. Cashier’s should find ease and enjoyment ringing up sale after sale with Gratis.
I concepted as lead designer, backed by an excellent team headed by entrepreneurial, common sense thinker Daniel Camilleri. Of humble university origins, as with many startup tales, each member continues to make waves, moves and marks. Greatly appreciative of my inclusion.
