Alaga
Branding, poster and media for Alaga: Tend to What Cares for You. This public art installation/event was presented as a part of Nature Festival 2022 (6–16 October), hosted by Ecolateral in Adelaide.

Alyssa’s piece encourages us to reflect on our connection to our beautiful natural world, and how taking care of it is of the greatest benefit to us and our lives.
Of interest is the subtle gradient that occurs from the flash photography that captured the inital leaf/plant representation in a television. As a scanner was not on hand, this became the next best bet. At times, your first few visions are the clearest. I trust in this.
Along with the graphic, which abstracts the video piece concept, organic letterforms were produced by marker to the same coarse paper stock. I follow through with forms, and see where they take me, in the moment they fell into leaf like shapes.
